*We are in the process of planning some exciting events for this year's Freshers week. So watch this space for what we will have on.* This years Freshers week will the 12th - 18th of September. Have a look below at some of the things we have done in the past.
13th September: Scavenger Hunt, 17:00 meet at Cathedral Steps.
New to Coventry? Don't yet know your way around? Fear not because we have the perfect event for you! Come along to our Coventry Scavenger Hunt. You'll be in a team and have to make your way around Coventry finding answers along the way. We will meet at the Cathedral Steps opposite the University Square.
14th September: Park Meetup, 18:00 meet at Cathedral Steps.
This is the perfect opportunity for you to get to know our CU community. It will be a very chilled evening spent getting to know each other through time to chat and games. All in a local park.
16th September: CU LAUNCH MEAL, 19:00 at St. Marks Coventry.
Free Food? You’re in the right place! You’re invited to join us for a relaxed evening enjoying food and friends getting to know other students in Coventry. There will also be a short talk sharing the CU Vision and purpose, during the evening. If you only come to one event this is the one for you!
17th September: Acoustic Night, 19:00 at Esquires Coffee.
Fan of live Music? Then come along to our acoustic night. We'll have a bunch of live performances from students in Coventry. It's the perfect way to spend a Friday evening! This event will also have an interview with some returning students.
21st September: International Call, 14:00 BST on Zoom.
Is the UK your new home? Or are you studying online from anywhere around the world? Well this event is for you! This event will explore some must know things about the UK and Coventry and will give you a chance to connect with new and current students from Coventry University and the Christian Union.
23rd September: Church Search, 19:00 in the Hillfields Church Coventry.
Finding a new church can be a challenge. Especially when you have to go to each one to find out what they are like. Well, fear not! Our church search brings together representatives from churches all over Coventry, in one place at the same time. After our first main meeting with the rest of the CU, you'll have an opportunity to talk to them and find out more about their church.
Not sure where to go? Don't worry we have a walking party meeting at the Cathedral Steps, 15mins before each event starts. Everyone is welcome to all events and we hope to see you there.
